KERA GROUP TO SUPPLY ROOF LIGHT DOMES TO THE EXHIBITION CENTER IN ST PETERSBURG

A new, enormous Expoforum – the new congress and show arena in Russia – is about to be completed in the center of St. Petersburg. The nine separate halls built by the shores of the Gulf of Finland will have a combined area of 4 ha. The stylistically ultramodern buildings will make use of round acrylic roof domes for daylight. Kera Group Oy (previously Keraplast) received a purchase order for 247 large roof dome lights from a local Russian contractor. At Kera Group we are delighted about the daylight solution using roof dome lights chosen by the architects.

Deliveries will begin immediately as the first events in the new congress and exhibition center are planned for as early as 2014.

The acrylic roof dome light was Kera Group’s main product when the company started in Kerava in 1971. Now the company has 7500 m2 of factory space in Orimattila and also smoke hatch production in companies in Tallinn, St. Petersburg and Kristinehamn in Sweden, with new sales offices that were established in Riga and Vilnius.

The turnover for Kera Group is 20.3 million Euros and the company employs 104 people in Finland and 35 abroad. We believe that we received the contract due to the company's familiarity with Russian projects. We have, for instance, delivered fairly large quantities of roof dome lights to Ikea shopping centers around Russia and to the Vsevolozhk car factory, brothers Seppo and Juha Nieminen, executives at Kera Group, explain.
